주요연구내용

Placenta Research Laboratory (PRL, 태반연구실) 에서는 태반관련 전반적인 분야를 연구하는 연구실로, 최근까지 출산 후 적출물로 처리되어져 오던 태반을 새로운 생물학적 자원으로 재활용하고, 태아 발생 및 발달에 비밀을 갖고 있는 태반의 기능 및 특성을 규명하여, 산과질환과의 상관성 규명, 양질의 태반에 존재하는 줄기세포 분리, 배양 및 특징 분석, 태반줄기세포주 구축, 다양한 만성질환 동물 모델에서의 태반줄기세포의 치료 효능 및 기전 연구, 그리고 태반내에 존재하는 생리활성 물질 기능 규명을 연구하는 연구실입니다.

현재 진행 중인 연구과제는 다음과 같습니다.
•태반발생관련 유전자 기능 분석 및 관련 산과질환 (임신중독증, 조산 등) 연구
•불임치료를 위한 영양막세포 및 영양막줄기세포 기능에 따른 착상기전 연구
•다양한 태반유래 줄기세포 분리 및 특징 규명
•신약 및 천연물질 신기능 분석을 위한 태반유래 줄기세포 이용 in vitro screening system 개발
•태반유래 줄기세포를 이용한 퇴행성 질환 세포치료제 개발 및 기전 연구 (간질환, 안과질환, 난임, 난소기능부전 등)
